This day course will follow on from your self-study water safety awareness module during the morning. In the

afternoon the course will continue with a level 2 module which will be “beach” and the Level 3. As the high tide is

around Midday, we will probably do the Level 3 session where there is a swim and tow section before we complete the

Level 2 beach. This is a very active & participative course and will therefore be more enjoyable if you have been

swimming immediately prior to the course. If you own a wetsuit or dry suit this would be useful to bring.

The course will be based YMCA Fleetwood, Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6HF where there is free parking, changing

facilities and a cafe

The day will start at 9am and we aim to finish around 5.30pm. Please wear casual clothing for the duration of the

course.

• Please bring spare dry clothes and suitable footwear suitable for wearing in open water; they must be secured to the

feet but not open sandals.

• Full wetsuit or dry suit for in-water activities

• Parking is available at this site.

• Lunch is not provided on this course. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.

• Please bring clipboard, notepad, pen and facemask

• Please make sure you bring your question paper and RLSS number beginning with 3.

The Level 1 Self Study unit, Level 2 still water and Level 3 units will need to be read and the question paper completed

prior to the course.
